FAQ
What dining experiences are available in the main dining room?
Our five-course seasonal tasting menu and a la carte menu are served at our main dining room tables. For details on our menu experiences, visit our Menu 菜单 page.
Please note that reservations of only up to seven guests are accepted. Larger parties must book our private dining room.
What can I expect if I reserve a high-top table?
High-top reservations require that you select and pay in advance for one communal entree. You will be able to add items from our a la carte menu once you sit down.
Our high-tops accommodate at most two guests. Parties larger than two must book a reservation in the dining room for our tasting menu.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We do not accept walk-ins for tables in our main dining room, but we do accept walk-ins at the bar. Bar seating is first come, first served, starting at 5pm when we open. Once bar seating is full, we start a waitlist. We only accept waitlist requests in person at the door.
Please note that only our a la carte menu is offered at the bar. Items are available in a limited quantity and tend to sell out, especially later in the evening.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are fully refundable up to four days before your visit. After this time, there are no refunds or credits. If you arrive with fewer guests than listed on your reservation, the deposit for your missing guests will not be refunded.
Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?
We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously and can accommodate most of them, with the exception of a soy bean allergy.
Please note that the seasonal nature of our menu prevents us from guaranteeing accommodation of every allergy. Additionally, our soy sauce contains gluten, and some of our dishes, including our banquet style duck, cannot be prepared without it.
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice before your reservation if we must plan to accommodate an allergy or dietary restriction. We cannot guarantee day-of accommodation.
Will there be a dining time limit on my reservation?
Parties of fewer than five people are allotted a 2.5-hour dining time. Parties of five or more are allotted three hours. We appreciate your understanding and consideration for the guests who will dine at your table after you!
What is your late policy?
We hold tables for 15 minutes after your reservation time. If your party arrives more than 15 minutes late, we will try our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee that we will be able to seat your group immediately.
How far in advance can I book a reservation?
Reservations are available on Tock for the current month and the upcoming month.
Is there a dress code?
We do not have a dress code. Wear what makes you feel your best and most comfortable! Some guests choose to dress up for special occasions.
Where can I park?
We recommend the garage at Portsmouth Square or at the Hilton on Kearny. Street parking tends to become more available after 6pm but is not consistently reliable. We do not offer a valet service. Please plan additional time to park.
What’s the corkage fee?
$55 for the first two 750 ml bottles; $75 for each bottle after that.
How do I purchase a gift card?
Electronic gift cards are available to purchase here. Physical gift cards are only available for purchase at the restaurant.
Can I pay for my reservation using a gift card?
Unfortunately, Tock, the platform we use to process reservations, does not accept gift cards as a valid form of payment. Please book your reservation using card or another valid payment option, and we will process your gift card following your dining experience.
How do I book an event?
Please fill out our event request form. You can browse our event booking options here.
If you have special questions regarding events, please email our event coordinator at audrey@misterjius.com.
Do bills include any automatic gratuity or other fees?
If your party is five guests or fewer, neither an automatic gratuity fee nor a service charge will be included in your prepayment or final bill. For parties of six or more, a 20% service charge applies. We also include a 5% surcharge per check to cover San Francisco employer mandates.
What is this order fee I’m noticing?
When guests make a Tock reservation and provide payment (e.g. a deposit), Tock charges an order fee to offset the cost of their services. Because those funds do not go to the restaurant, they will not be applied to your bill.
